Slater Family

About this site

The bulk of the information was provided by David Slater (son of Frederick and Dinah Slater) and we are all grateful for the painstaking research he has put in to establish links back to the middle of 16th century.

Webmaster hopes to extend the site to include the ever expanding families of Slater using links from the main tree. It is not possible to show all the family branches on one page - it would become very , as the generations continue so after the children of Joseph and Mary Slater the chart splits into separate diagrams, with Victor Slater issue being continued on the main page. These branch charts will be added to the site as information becomes available.

Where other families become involved by marriage it is also intended that the site will support a link to their family site, or if one does not exist, then these family trees will be included within this site as information is made available and space continues to be available.

Whilst Webmaster owns and maintains the site and the www.slater-family.com web address, it is the responsibility of those who follow us to continue to maintain the site and add further entries or new information as it becomes available.

The world wide web is here to stay and is a perfect method of keeping a full and accurate record of family history. As the centuries progress, it remains to be seen whether the later generations will take up the task of maintaining the information!

If you have something to contribute please send an e-mail to Webmaster and I will be pleased to add any details. Since the information will be published please ensure that you have the agreement of any family members you include or refer to so that everyone is comfortable and aware of this.

Please remember that the site belongs to all the Slaters and others who feature in it. All Webmaster does is moderate it and facilitate maintenance and takes no responsibility for the accuracy of the content.
